Will page 3 stay page 3?

Yes if you dropped files in that order. Rename with leading zeros when Finder sorts “10.jpg” before “2.jpg”.

Can PNG sit next to JPEG in the same file?

Yes. Screenshots and photos can share one packet. Transparency flattens against a white page like print would.

How do I unlock the merge queue?

When a single JPEG page is not enough

The hub converts one picture at a time on Edge. This page is for ordered albums: receipts in date order, homework pages, or a shoot you promised as a bound proof. RAM and CPU sit on Hetzner so Safari does not freeze while 80 full-resolution photos assemble.

Order is part of the job

Name files 01, 02, 03 or drop them in reading order. The worker writes pages in that sequence. If page 7 belongs after page 3, fix the queue before you start — the PDF will not guess.

What stays on the free hub

One photo still belongs on the main converter. Pay for merge only when you need many pages in one download. Compress afterward if email still rejects the file for kilobytes, not page count.
