Raster pages, not a Word conversion
JPG is for chat apps, CMS slots, and social that reject PDFs. It is not OCR and not a text extract. Screen DPI is the free default — fine for Slack, rough for an offset printer. Low DPI on a brochure is the usual disappointment; 300 DPI is the Premium spoke. Uploads use HTTPS and are deleted after download. Encrypted PDFs need Unlock first (with a password you know).
One page vs many
A single-page PDF returns one JPEG. Multipage files burst to numbered files in a ZIP so order stays obvious. You do not screenshot each slide.
Free vs Pro
Eligible everyday renders: no signup. Unlimited folder-scale jobs and strict 300 DPI use dedicated VPS workers so an Edge handler does not time out. We do not watermark eligible free JPEGs.
JPG vs PNG
JPEG has no alpha. Logos and UI that need transparency belong on PDF to PNG. Photos and slides for Instagram are usually JPEG.
