1. Who we are
Convertify4u operates an online platform for converting PDFs, images, Office documents, and related file formats. We offer free and paid plans.

2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the service. We collect only what is needed to operate Convertify4u, enforce plan limits, process payments, and improve reliability.
- Uploaded files: documents and images you submit for conversion.
- Account information (optional): email address, display name, and authentication details when you create an account or sign in with Google.
- Usage information: daily conversion counts linked to your account or an anonymous browser identifier.
- Payment-related data: plan selection and transaction references handled by our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers).
- Marketing sign-ups: email address if you voluntarily subscribe through a promotional form.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (including via analytics tools).
- Support communications: information you send when contacting us.
3. How we handle uploaded files
Convertify4u is designed for temporary processing. When you upload a file, we use it solely to perform the conversion you requested.
We do not sell uploaded file content, use it for advertising, or train machine-learning models on your documents unless you explicitly use a Premium AI OCR feature that requires automated text extraction from scans.
Files are transmitted over HTTPS. Depending on file size and conversion type, processing may occur in the browser, on Vercel Edge infrastructure, on dedicated servers (including Hetzner VPS), or in temporary object storage (such as Cloudflare R2/S3-compatible storage) for large uploads.
Uploaded files and conversion outputs are deleted automatically after processing and download. In most cases deletion happens within one hour; for large or server-side jobs, retention may extend up to 24 hours. We do not maintain long-term archives of user uploads.
4. Accounts and usage tracking
You may use many tools without creating an account. If you are not signed in, we may associate daily free-tier usage with a random identifier stored in your browser local storage.
Registered users can sign in with email/password or Google OAuth through Supabase. We store account and subscription records to provide plan benefits, usage limits, and billing status.
Usage logs record conversion counts per day. They do not include the contents of your files.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Premium plans may be purchased through Lemon Squeezy (international) or UddoktaPay (Bangladesh). Payment processors collect billing details according to their own privacy policies.
We receive limited payment metadata such as transaction IDs, plan type, subscription status, and expiry dates so we can activate and manage your subscription.
6. Premium AI OCR processing
Certain Premium features for scanned or image-only documents may send page content to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Google Gemini) strictly to extract text and structure.
This processing is limited to delivering the conversion output. We do not authorize these providers to use your content for their own product improvement beyond what their policies require to provide the API service.
7. Analytics and marketing
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve the site. Analytics data is generally pseudonymous.
If you submit your email through a promotional popup, we store it to send updates you opted into. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
8. Why we process your information
Depending on your location and the type of data involved, we rely on one or more of the following bases:
- Contract: to provide the conversion service and manage subscriptions you purchase.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent abuse, measure performance, and improve features.
- Consent: where required for optional marketing emails or non-essential cookies/analytics.
- Legal obligation: when we must comply with applicable law or respond to lawful requests.
10. Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary:
- Uploaded files and outputs: deleted automatically, typically within one hour and no later than 24 hours.
- Account and subscription records: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
- Usage logs: retained for enforcing daily limits and internal reporting.
- Payment records: retained as required for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention.
- Marketing emails: kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Analytics: retained according to Google Analytics configuration and our internal policies.
11. Security
We use HTTPS encryption in transit and apply access controls around production systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk through infrastructure hardening, least-privilege access, and automatic file deletion.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for reviewing converted files before sharing them.
12. International data transfers
Convertify4u may process data in multiple countries where our hosting and subprocessors operate, including the European Union, United States, and other regions.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent.
To make a request, email support@convertify4u.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
14. Children's privacy
Convertify4u is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it was revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
Your continued use of Convertify4u after an update means you accept the revised policy, subject to applicable law.
