Canonical HEIC to TIFF Tool

HEIC to TIFF Converter — From iPhone Stills to a Press-Friendly Raster

HEIC is a phone storage format. TIFF is what print shops, DAMs, and Photoshop catalogs still treat as a master. Drop a still, encode locally, download .tiff/.tif. Use JPEG if you only needed a chat photo.

Conversion stays in your browser. Client portfolios and archival stills never upload to Convertify4u.

Phone efficiency versus industry-standard TIFF

Apple optimized the camera roll for gigabytes. Print, publishing, and archives optimized for a predictable raster: TIFF (or TIF — same container, extension preference varies by pipeline). Mixed OS teams cannot always open HEIC. A shop RIP is not going to install HEVC because you AirDropped a hero. This hub is that handoff. Everything runs in the tab. Unreleased campaigns never sit on our disk. TIFF output is heavy; a 12 MP still will not be a 200 KB email graphic. If you needed that, you wanted JPEG or WebP. If you needed transparency on the web, PNG is usually simpler. If you needed a packet of pages, PDF. Spokes split iPhone ingest, album dumps, archival intent, press counters, Adobe apps, free no-license access, and mobile/desktop codecs. .tif and .tiff are the same idea here.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop HEIC or HEIF

Professional or personal stills. The job starts in the browser — no server copy to begin.

  2. 2

    Encode TIFF locally

Client work stays on this machine. How you save as TIFF is download, not a cloud folder we host.

  3. 3

Hand the file to the pipeline

Lightroom, InDesign, a print vendor, or a DAM that already knows TIFF.

Use cases

Photography ingest

Before a retouch session on a team that is not all-Mac.

Desktop publishing

Linked frames in InDesign and files vendors already spec.

Archival masters

Cold storage that should outlive iOS container fashions.

Sensitive portfolios

Local-only processing — the book never hits a remote disk here.

Problems we solve

Shops and DAMs rejecting HEIC

TIFF is already in their handbook.

Paying CC just to open one still

A browser decode is enough to get a file Photoshop would have opened anyway.

Cloud converters storing shoots

This path never uploads the portfolio.

Specialized HEIC to TIFF guides

Trust & privacy

Zero server uploads

Client photos convert in the browser.

No email gate

Everyday jobs download without an account.

TIFF or TIF

Same lossless-minded container; pipelines pick the extension.
