Can I scan with my phone camera?

Yes. The file input uses capture="environment", which opens the phone camera app, typically the rear camera. It is a normal camera capture, not a live video stream inside the page. You can also upload a photo from the gallery. After the shot, adjust the corners, pick a filter, and download. The processing stays in the browser.

What files can I download?

A standard document can download as PNG, and as a single-page PDF. The PDF embeds a JPEG at quality 0.92, fitted on an A4 page. ID card mode merges the front and the back onto a 1240 by 1754 canvas and can export that merge as a PDF. Both downloads are the scan itself.

Can I put several pages in one PDF?

Scan another page starts a fresh capture. Each sheet is its own capture, so you download one page and then start the next. Finish the page you are on, download it, then start the next sheet. If you later need those single-page PDFs joined, use a merge tool on the files you already saved.

Will the scanner turn the page into editable text?

No OCR runs on this page. The letters stay in the picture, which is what you want for a visual copy of a form, a receipt, or an ID. If you need plain text you can paste, use PDF to text or image to text after you have a clear file. Magic Color, Original, and Black and White only change how the picture looks.

How sharp is the straightened page?

Corner detection works at 720 pixels, then a homography warp builds the flat page. The long side of that warp is adaptive, about 1600 to 3600 pixels, so the result tracks the device instead of a single fixed megapixel. Nudge the corners if the first outline includes the desk. Turn the source photo upright first if the sheet is sideways.

Which filter should I leave on?

Magic Color is the default, and it is the right start for most paper because it lifts contrast. Original keeps the capture closer to the photo you took. Black and White is useful when the page is type and you want a stark copy. You can change the filter before you download the PNG or the single-page PDF.
