Phones are fine for a few pages; they are the wrong device for a plan set
Mobile Safari and Chrome can upload a PDF from Files, Drive, or email and download PNG or ZIP. That is handy on site. Cellular will chew data on a 30 MB scan — wait for Wi-Fi when you can. The architecture is still HTTPS processing and auto-delete, not on-device Canvas like the image enlarger. iOS may ask where to save; Android often uses Downloads. Preview the first PNG before you delete the PDF. 300 DPI and hundred-page batches: finish on a laptop with Pro VPS. Preview.app on Mac can export too, but this URL is the same recipe as your phone. GIF 256-color is not involved. If the phone kills the tab, the job may not finish — stay foregrounded. Split a huge plan set first if you only need two sheets in the field; leave the rest for desktop. Low-power modes and battery savers sometimes freeze Workers — plug in for long rasters.

When to switch to desktop
CAD, Pro HD, or anything that makes the phone thermal-throttle. Premium workers prefer a session you start on a computer.
