Batch GIF Maker — Folder Energy, Frame-Cap Reality

Pick the subset that tells one story — event highlights, one SKU’s angles, one comic page — then generate. Repeat for the next set. There is no zip-in zip-out render farm on this path.

Bulk selection, singular encode (per file)

Many loops means many generates, not one magic queue

A batch GIF maker here is multi-select intake plus quick re-runs. Make multiple files by repeating encodes per storyboard. Each GIF still caps near 30 frames. Dumping a photo library into one timeline is the wrong job — split by scene.

Folders are a picker, not an auto-editor

A photo folder becomes a loop only after you choose the frames. Filesystem order may not match narrative order — drag the timeline. Shared delay gives a classic slideshow feel; mixed aspect ratios should be cropped first so the loop does not jump.

Automatic is the generate button after setup

Reuse delay, loop, and quality between runs. Encoding is local and progressive, not a cloud farm. Mixed HEIC/BMP/TIFF in the folder need convert-first before they belong on the timeline.

How it works

  1. 1

    Multi-select a coherent set

Avoid dumping whole years. One event, one SKU, one tutorial.

  2. 2

    Shared delay plus reorder

Hold titles. Fix picker order. Normalize aspect if needed.

  3. 3

    Generate, then the next set

That repetition is the bulk workflow. Name files as you go.

Use cases

Event albums

Folder highlights for a recap. Ten to twenty frames with longer holds beat thirty duplicates.

SKU angle packs

One product per encode. Match lighting so the palette does not flicker.

Comic pages

Panel sequences with readable delay on dialogue.

Training slide flips

Handouts that must autoplay as .gif in a wiki. One concept per file.

Problems we solve

Whole-library dumps

Too many frames — trim to one story.

Mixed aspect ratios

Crop or pad first. Jumping boxes look like a bug.

Expecting zip-in zip-out farms

Not this tool’s model. Repeat generates on purpose.

Trust & technology

Fast iteration

Local encode loops quickly when sets are small.

Clear caps

~30 frames published so you plan the split.

Linked compress and resize

Prep heavy folders before the timeline.
