Brand marks: PNG alpha, size, and not covering the pricing table
A logo overlay is a small raster drawn on each page. Use PNG with a transparent background. JPEG logos bring a white box. Flattened GIFs with a 256-color palette look posterized on a vector report — remake the mark as PNG. Keep the asset modest (a few hundred pixels on the long side is usually enough); a 4000 px logo at 80% opacity will hide the contract. 20–35% opacity, corner or center grid, slight rotation if you want it harder to crop. pdf-lib composites the image without re-rasterizing the PDF pages, so type stays sharp. Instant jobs never upload the deck or the mark to Convertify4u. Co-branded partner logos: two light marks can still collide — test a sample page. Premium still applies to huge files and true batch queues.
When to use this spoke versus text
Text is better for DRAFT/CONFIDENTIAL legal clarity. A logo is better for “this came from us” on marketing PDFs. Some teams do text on the legal pass and logo on the sales pass — two derivatives from one master.
Print and screens
A mark that looks fine on a bright laptop may vanish on a projector. Check a printed page and a phone PDF app before a client meeting.
