You do not need another gallery-scraping App Store resizer. This is the website, running Canvas, with the OS picker for one still at a time. iPhone: Safari, Photos, HEIC often decodes — if a webview fails, copy the URL into Safari. Android: Chrome over Samsung Internet for fewer surprises; some OEMs still emit HEIC. 48 MP Ultra modes hitch or reload the tab. Export a smaller still in Photos first, or AirDrop to a computer for marathons. We do not scan the whole Camera roll in the background. Save the download back to Photos, then share to Instagram or WhatsApp. Social boxes still apply: 1080 square, 1080×1920 Story. Email caps: smaller long edge then encode. This spoke is the device briefing, not a clone of the free-template FAQ that mentions Merge PDF.

One URL, phone RAM, honest HEIC

Use a real browser

Instagram’s in-app browser is a poor decoder. Safari or Chrome, then the share sheet out. Add to Home Screen if you want an icon — it is still this site, not a Core ML rewrite.

Memory and thermals

WASM/Canvas on a 40 MP still is heavy. Phones throttle. Downsample in the Camera app’s “most compatible” JPEG mode if you do this every day. Laptops exist for 200-file loops (bulk spoke).

After the box, the app will still recode

Hand Instagram a 1080-class JPEG so its pass is gentler. Hand WhatsApp a moderate still, not a 25 MB PNG. Compressor if the share still fails on bytes. Isolation of a messy room is Background Remover, not this page.

How it works

  1. 1

Open this URL in Safari or Chrome

Not a shopping-app webview. Grant the picker for one file.

  2. 2

Set the integers the destination actually shows

1080×1080, 1080×1920, 600×600 — social and print spokes if you are unsure. Lock aspect.

  3. 3

Save to Photos and open the destination app

We do not log into Instagram. You upload. Prefer Wi-Fi for large originals.

Use cases

Story and feed stills on the go

Right ratio before posting from a phone.

Marketplace listing from the shop floor

A product still to a square, then the selling app.

Email a still from LTE

Smaller box so the message actually sends.

Problems we solve

Native apps that want full library access

OS picker here is per still. That is the privacy model.

Tab crash on Ultra resolution

Export smaller in Photos. Not a paywall.

HEIC rejected by the next app

Convert to JPEG, then scale, then share.

Trust & technology

No native binary required

The site is the app.

Per-file picker

We do not scrape the Camera roll.

Same engine as desktop

Phone versus laptop is RAM, not a weaker scaler.
