GIF Maker Mobile & Desktop — One Browser Studio

Drag-and-drop shines on desktop. Phones use the system picker. Encoding stays on the device you are holding. Other sites’ install prompts are a different product.

Need the main studio? GIF Maker

Same Gif Studio, different pickers

Windows, Mac, and Linux desktops

Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all run the same studio. Drag stills or a native clip onto the tab. Retina screenshots should be downscaled toward ~1200px if encode is slow. There is no Windows-only installer and no Mac App Store pack for this path.

iPhone and Android

Use the system file picker. iPhone Photos still exporting HEIC? Convert to PNG or JPG first, then pick the rasters in Safari or Chrome. Android is usually JPEG already. Live Photo bundles are not a source — export stills or a MOV. Tiny phone CPUs want shorter sequences than a desktop.

Privacy on the go is still local encode

A GIF maker session on a train is still on-device — no Convertify4u server upload. Mind iOS memory with huge bursts. Save to Files or Photos from the download prompt. Shared kiosks can leak via Downloads even when our servers never saw the work.

How it works

  1. 1

Open Gif Studio in the browser you already have

Desktop or mobile. Skip random “free studio” installers.

  2. 2

Pick images or a video file

HEIC→PNG or HEIC→JPG on iPhone if needed. MP4/WebM/MOV for clips.

  3. 3

Generate and save to Downloads or the camera roll

Share from the device. Nothing is emailed from Convertify4u.

Use cases

Commuter drafts

A reaction loop on the phone before you post. Keep frames few.

Office desktops

Locked-down PCs that cannot install software. The tab is enough.

Lab Linux boxes

Demos without a Windows VM. Browser path only.

Cross-device handoff

Same native formats everywhere. Convert HEIC once, reuse the rasters.

Problems we solve

iOS HEIC surprises

Convert first. Dragging HEIC into Gif Studio is the documented miss.

Tiny phone CPUs

Shorter sequences, smaller stills. The ~30-frame cap is your friend.

Install prompts from other sites

Prefer this no-install browser path. Random EXEs are not our studio.

Trust & technology

True cross-platform

Windows through iOS, same workflow, different pickers.

Local on every OS

Privacy model does not change when you switch devices.

HEIC converters linked

iPhone reality covered instead of a fake native claim.
