Why Gif Studio refuses a native HEIC claim

HEIC to GIF on Convertify4u is convert-first on purpose. Apple’s container is not in the native stills list (JPG, PNG, WebP). Use /convert/heic-to-png for graphics and cutouts, or /convert/heic-to-jpg for ordinary photos, then return here. Pretending native decode would just fail in the tab.

Bursts, albums, and the frame cap

A Live Photos-adjacent burst can be hundreds of HEICs. Convert the selects, not the whole year. Assemble ≤~30 frames in Gif Studio. Family chats and Stories want a handful of readable stills with longer delay, not a flipbook of near-duplicates.

Live Photos are a different object

We do not ingest Live Photo packages. If the motion lives in that container, export stills or a video file from Photos, then use stills here or the video spoke for MP4/MOV. Final GIF encode stays on-device.

How it works

    PNG if you might need a cutout later; JPG for straightforward photo slideshows.

    Reorder so the trip or event reads. Hold the group-shot frame longer than the blurry walk-bys.

    Same delay, loop, crop, and quality controls as any other stills job. Download on the phone or laptop you used.
