Drop a supported file and generate. Trim first if it is longer than a few seconds of action.

Is there a forced watermark?

No. Default export is the file you previewed.

Can I do this from an iPhone recording?

Yes in the browser with a local MP4 or MOV. Convert HEIC stills separately if you are mixing photos.

Remux to MP4 first, then upload the MP4.

Does M4V work natively?

Prefer remux to MP4, then use the MP4 path. We do not claim every iTunes-style container.

Native containers versus remux-first formats

MP4, WebM, and MOV drop in; screen recordings count

Video to GIF on this page means a file on disk. MP4, WebM, and QuickTime MOV are native. A screen recording works when you upload the recording file — not a cloud capture URL. Gif Studio extracts frames locally. Trim the clip in a video editor first so you are not asking the encoder to sample a feature film.

AVI, MKV, and M4V — remux, then come back

Those containers are not promised in-browser demux. Remux or convert to MP4 on your machine (HandBrake, ffmpeg, or the OS share sheet), then drop the MP4. We document the gap instead of failing opaquely.

No YouTube, no Twitch, no Live Photo packages

Paste-a-link is unsupported on purpose. Download or export the clip, then convert from the file. Live Photo bundles are not a video input — export a MOV or stills first. The ~30-frame and ~1200px caps still apply after extraction.
