A gallery photo can still become a decent page

When this spoke is the right door

You cannot reshoot — the paper is gone, or it is a screenshot of a worksheet. Import beats pretending you still have a platen.

When you should reshoot anyway

If the original is motion-blurred or the type is a rumor, filters will not grow letters. Borrow the paper again if it still exists.

Screenshots versus camera stills

A PNG of a PDF page is already a document; you may only need crop. A phone photo of paper needs the full enhance path. HEIC from iPhone: convert if the importer shrugs.

How it works

    Pick the still from Files or Photos

    Choose the sharpest burst frame, not the first one. Delete the rest after if they contain the same sensitive page.

    Crop like you meant to scan

    Lose the table, the thumbs, the second document in the background.

    Export as PDF or image

    PDF for portals. JPEG if a chat app is the destination — but prefer sending the file, not a screenshot of the result.

Paper already recycled

The only copy is last week’s photo. Make it presentable or admit it is unusable.

Someone sent a photo of their screen. Crop the browser chrome. Contrast if the photo-of-a-screen is gray.

Problems we solve

Enhancing a thumbnail

A 400-pixel WhatsApp forward cannot become a clerk-ready page. Ask for the original file.

Perspective that would make a trapezoid

A little keystone is survivable. A page shot from the hip is not. Reshoot if you still can.

Use the still, not the motion. The video frame will be softer.
