Android Files app — where does the PDF go?

Usually Downloads. If you cannot find it, check the browser’s download shelf, then move it to Drive.

Can I use the rear camera only?

Yes, and you should. Selfie cameras make pages look warped and soft.

Why is the preview tiny on my phone?

Pinch-zoom the result. If type is still mush at 100%, reshoot closer with more light — do not upscale a blur.

Will this drain the battery?

Camera plus Canvas will warm the phone. Finish the packet, then close the tab.

iPad — is this better than the phone?

Bigger screen, easier crop. Same engine. Use it when you have a table.

The phone is the platen if you hold it still

Safari and Chrome are enough

Grant camera access when the prompt appears. If you already photographed the sheet, pick it from Photos or Files. iPad split-view works the same as a phone, just easier to crop.

HEIC and Live Photos

iOS likes HEIC. If upload fails, flatten to JPEG first. Live Photo motion is useless here — we need one still of the paper.

When to sit down at a laptop

Twenty pages, tiny handwriting, or a passport data page you must read later — a desk and two hands beat a crowded bus.
