Multi-page files are not one timeline slot

TIFF to GIF starts by exporting discrete stills. A 40-page exhibit is forty rasters, then several loops — Gif Studio will not magically demux every page of a multi-page TIFF. .tif and .tiff are the same family. Use PNG for line art and stamps; JPG for photographic plates after you have flattened.

CMYK, bit depth, and evidence sets

Print TIFFs often arrive CMYK or 16-bit. Convert to sRGB 8-bit PNG or JPG or colors will look drunk on the web. Legal and museum sets should stay confidential: convert locally, encode locally. We are not a discovery platform; we are a browser encoder after you have ordinary rasters.

Pacing for text-heavy scans

Hold each page longer than a social reaction. If viewers cannot read the caption, raise delay — do not add more pages past ~30. Crop punch holes and scanner bars so the palette is not wasted on junk at the edge.
