Why the layout thumbnails disappear
Two modes, two geometry systems
In Single (collage) mode, a strip of LayoutTemplate thumbnails appears: 2×2, hearts, diagonals. In Carousel mode that strip is hidden on purpose. Frames are equal panes in a flex row. html2canvas slices them by slide count. There is no “title top / photo bottom” master page. If you need that, design the card in a kit, export PNG, and drop the PNG as a slide. Calling our filmstrip a “premium template pack” would be stuffing.
Reusable habits instead of a cloud library
A house style is: always 1:1, always five frames, always hook → proof → proof → proof → close, always the same background hex, always faces panned to 50/40. Write it in the brief. There is no “save as team template” because there is no team CMS. Education vs ecommerce vs brand is the same geometry with different photos. Aesthetic, minimal, editorial — those words describe your stills and your later type, not a second engine.
When to hop to collage templates
If a “slide” should itself be a four-cell grid, make that board in collage mode, download the PNG, then place that PNG into a carousel slot (or just post the collage). Mixing both jobs in one click is not how the component is built. The collage templates spoke documents count-matched maps and clip-paths. This spoke documents sequence.
