How the George Bush 9/11 format actually works
George Bush 9/11 is a classroom still of the president being told about the attacks, used—carefully—as a 'someone just whispered the news' format. Two boxes hold the whisper and the face that has to keep teaching. It is a world-interrupting-the-mundane joke. The book and the kids are the ordinary stage. This template is radioactive next to actual tragedy, which is why captions usually swap in petty news, not real mass-casualty events. Put a privately catastrophic update in the whisper and keep Bush as the person who has to stay composed in public. The humor, when it is allowed, is tonal whiplash: a classroom smile meeting a cursed statistic. Replace the historical event with something petty ('the build is red,' 'they are on the way here'). Do not reenact the real day. The still is a vehicle for interrupted performance, not a history lesson. On Convertify4u you caption 2 caption boxes in the same editor as the rest of the library, then download a clean JPG. Keep a master if you might animate frames later in GIF Maker.
