How the Bell Curve format actually works

Bell Curve is an IQ-distribution comic: a glowing simpleton on the left, an angry midwit in the middle, and a calm genius on the right who accidentally agrees with the simpleton. Three boxes label those three heads. It spread as a 'horseshoe of takes' format. The graph is the joke: mid intelligence performs complexity while both tails say the short true thing. It is not a medical chart. Put the same short conclusion on the left and right in slightly different diction, and put the long, furious, credentialed objection in the middle. The humor is that the two tails meet, while the peak writes a thread. Keep the midwit line wordiest on purpose. Do not actually claim to know anyone's IQ. The x-axis is a stage, not a diagnosis. On Convertify4u you caption 3 caption boxes in the same editor as the rest of the library, then download a clean JPG. Keep a master if you might animate frames later in GIF Maker.

When Bell Curve is the wrong joke

Three unrelated captions, a middle line that is funnier and shorter than the tails, or covering the graph's peak all fail. Do not use this to insult real people's intelligence. Skip it when you only have two opinions. Also skip it as sincere psychometrics; you will look like the midwit. If both tails are slurs, you have made a hate graphic, not a meme.

Where Bell Curve still reads at thumbnail size

It is a Twitter-ratio and Reddit-philosophy regular, plus engineering Slack about overbuilt abstractions. Instagram needs tiny type on three faces. TikTok can zoom left-middle-right. LinkedIn using a fake IQ chart will be a career moment. Moderation-heavy Discords may dislike IQ discourse. Use it where people already joke about overcomplicating obvious answers.

Caption craft for Bell Curve

Tails agree, middle essays

Left and right should share a terse conclusion. The center box is the paragraph of cope that refuses that conclusion.

Midwit gets the most words

Make the middle caption visibly more academic or angry. If it is the shortest, the bell curve has no story.

No real IQ claims

Never label living coworkers with numbers. Name roles or archetypes ('the rewrite proposal') instead of people.
