What the two gestures already argue
Drake Hotline Bling is two frames from the 2015 video: Aubrey Graham grimaces at one idea, then points at another as if the choice were obvious. The pink set and the right-hand gutter are the caption area. The joke is a verdict between two peers, not a story, not a plea, and not three people on a sidewalk.
Put the dismissed option in the top box and the chosen option in the bottom box, unless the whole gag is that he is proudly choosing the worse one. Match the grammar. Two apps, two excuses, two foods. A paragraph over a three-word label makes the point look accidental. Noun against noun snaps; a rant against a label does not.
Keep both lines in the empty column beside him. If type crosses his face or covers the pointing hand, the gesture that delivers the verdict disappears. Do not use the stack for a four-step plan or to insult a person whose face is already in the left column. The still is a comparison of options.
A useful pair looks like two apps, not a story. Top: “rewriting the whole module.” Bottom: “fixing the one function that failed.” Both are ways to spend the afternoon, and the grimace rejects the first. If the bottom line is a punchline about a different subject, the pointing hand has nothing to approve. Read the stack out loud as “not this, this.” If that sentence sounds like two topics, rewrite it before you touch the font size.
The pink gutter is narrow once the picture is a chat thumbnail. Two nouns fit. A clause with a comma often wraps onto his jacket. Move the boxes toward the empty column and shorten until the hand is a hand again. The rejected line can be slightly longer than the chosen one, but not a paragraph. Readers decide in the first glance which row lost.
The download from this page is one JPEG. The browser canvas paints the still, then the words, at quality 0.92. Captions are converted to capitals, filled white, and outlined in black. Impact is the font that starts selected. A whispery lowercase joke will not survive that paint. Write the two options as if they will be shouted, check that the point is still visible, and save the still. It is a JPG, not a clip.
Try the pair on a real choice from this week before you polish the type. Write the rejected option on paper first, then the one you would actually defend in a meeting. If you cannot say them with the same grammar, the stack will look like a setup and a punchline, and the gestures will not agree. A good test is to cover the picture and read only the two lines. They should sound like siblings. Then uncover the picture and check the hand. The point is the approval, so a caption that crosses the fingers turns the verdict into a poster. Group chats will crop the lower row if the image is posted tall with a huge bottom margin, so keep both lines inside the pink gutter and leave a little air under the second frame. When the wording survives that crop test, export once and post the file you downloaded, not a screenshot of the editor.
