Why there are four faces and three boxes
This grid is cropped from Revenge of the Sith: Padme asks something hopeful, Anakin answers, she asks to be reassured, and his smile turns. Imgflip exposes three caption boxes on that four-still grid, so one beat is carried by a face instead of a line. The format is dramatic irony. It is not a ranking, not a handshake, and not a two-line preference.
Follow the film even if you only type three lines: a reasonable question, an answer that is too perfect, and a worried follow-up. Leave the last panel’s grin to finish the sentence. Readers who know the scene supply Padme’s last reaction from the picture. Keep names out unless you are recasting the couple as teams or products. All four photographs have to serve one broken promise.
Do not put the twist in panel one. Do not write four unrelated captions. Do not cover the final smile. If the audience does not read those faces, the grid is just two people talking, and you should pick a more literal still. A sincere announcement also fails here, because the last frame always implies the promise is cursed.
A working set: Padme asks whether the migration will be boring. Anakin says it will be a clean cutover. She asks if that means nobody is on call. The last face smiles. You only typed three lines, and the grin supplied the fourth. The promise has to be the kind of promise a reasonable person would want to hear. If the first line is already the disaster, the smile has nothing left to betray.
The grid is four photographs and three boxes. That mismatch is the format, not a bug to fill with a fourth sentence. Leave the final expression clear. Covering the smile forces the punchline into a box that does not exist. Keep one broken promise across all four stills. Four unrelated jokes make the grid look like a contact sheet.

A sincere announcement will still be read as a trap on this grid, so do not use it for a status that people should trust. If the audience does not know the scene, the faces still have to carry irony.
